Lid lump and bump removal
Lumps and bumps commonly occur around the eyelids. These are most often benign, or non-cancerous. However occasionally they may represent something more sinister such as a skin cancer.
Lid lesions can often be removed on the same day as your assessment. This will be discussed with you by Dr Botha in more detail at the time of your assessment.
The procedures are done under local anaesthetic.
What to expect after your operation
You can expect some swelling and bruising around your eye following the surgery.
You will be provided with a prescription for some antibiotic ointment to use on the wound.
You should avoid any strenuous activity including lifting heavy objects for a few days after your procedure.
